Guests watching online

Give people who follow your livestream from home the same translated captions: on their own phone, or in the stream itself.

Guests at home can follow the same captions as guests in the room. There are two ways, and you can use both.

On their own phone or computer

The guest link, the same one behind your QR code, works anywhere with internet, not only in the building. Each guest picks their own language, reads along, and can press play to listen.

  1. Copy the guest link from Settings → QR codes for guests’ phones, or from the Console while you are live.
  2. Put it where your online viewers already look: the livestream description, the chat, your website and your weekly email.
  3. Leave it there. The link stays the same every week, so viewers can save it.

A livestream usually runs some seconds behind the room. Captions on a phone follow the room, so they can arrive a little before the preacher does on the stream.

In the livestream picture

To show captions inside the stream itself, add the overlay link to the software that makes your stream, as a browser source. Everyone watching sees them, without opening anything.

  • A stream carries one caption language. Choose it under Language on the Overlay link card before you copy the link.
  • For more than one language, point viewers to the guest link above: each of them picks their own.
  • The steps for each program are in Show captions on a screen or in your video mixer.
